The IAE in Paris has existed now for almost 50 years and has developed thanks to a simple idea: connecting university education with business practice. This idea is ongoing even if its application demands new aspects:
• A European harmonization of courses (LMD).
• An increase of interaction between research and learning.
• Internationalisation of research and learning
• adaptation of contents to the new realities of the economic world.
• Using new pedagogical tools.
To meet these demands, our institution has expanded its learning offers, built up with numerous ties with foreign universities, has increased its presence in companies and companies’ presence at the Institute by using all means of exchange possible: apprenticeship, in-house training, the sharing of research results at seminars and round tables, bringing together academics and practitioners; A mixed pedagogy which associates professors and contributors who come directly from companies; developing diplomas which have a direct contact with companies in the image of MBA Sorbonne – Dauphine – Renault, etc.
Our shared ambition is to be faithful to the modern idea that has ensured our success by making the IAE of Paris an academic centre of management training of international renown, the Sorbonne Graduate Business school.
